Introduction

Sounds of the two-letter hiragana such as きゃ(kya), きゅ(kyu), and きょ(kyo) are called 拗音ようおん (yōon).

The small letter “ゃ” (ya), “ゅ” (yu) or “ょ” (yo) is added after the letter of “き” (ki), “し”  (shi), “ち” (chi), “に” (ni), “ひ”, (hi), “み” (mi), “り” (ri), “ぎ” (gi), “じ” (ji), “び” (bi) or “ぴ” (pi).

Here we practice ひゃ(hya), ひゅ(hyu), and ひょ(hyo).
